Dance Technique for Musical Theatre

Spin, climb, stretch and soar into aerial class. Each class begins with a 10 min warm-up, 45-min of aerial choreography (lyra, hammock, silk), and 5-10 min of conditioning.

This class is designed to provide exceptional dance training to beginner or beginner/intermediate middle and high-school students. Many musical theatre students find they don't have time to train in dance while also performing.  This class covers the essentials for musical theatre dance. *non-recital class*

Musical Theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken words, acting, and dance.  Theatrical performance teaches essential life skills including showmanship, teamwork, and creativity while providing a platform for one to discover their inner talents and build self-confidence.  Students will perform a musical dance number from a Broadway show in our June showcase.

Floor acrobatic mat skills are the focus.   Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering, based in flexibility, contortion and strength.

Our new Dance Fit programming provides fitness oriented classes for all levels in three focus areas.  

1. Dance Fit: Stretch provides mind/body connection and an opportunity to improve flexibility.

2. Dance Fit: Strength focuses on building core  strength needed for dance and life.

3. Dance Fit: Move builds cardio endurance.
